The dragons are back this summer in the latest trailer for HBO’s “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon.”
And things are virtually to get very Targaryen.
Created by Jersey’south George R.R. Martin, original “GOT” scribe, and Ryan Condal, the show is set 200 years before the time of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.
The series, whose cast is populated past a fair number of platinum blonds, is based on the 2022 Martin volume “Burn & Claret,” a history of House Targaryen.
While Daenerys roamed the Vii Kingdoms trying to claim the Iron Throne — flying effectually on a rare dragon helped — her forebears were part of a dynasty that had not yet fallen. So hither, we get to meet House Targaryen in all its glory, dragons included (see trailer below).
The new show covers the Trip the light fantastic toe of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war. And this calendar week’s trailer has many of the established “GOT” elements in play: talk of legacy, succession, jockeying for positions, palace intrigue, the prospect of women in power and at least 1 soaring dragon.
Miguel Sapochnik, who directed “GOT” episodes “Battle of the Bastards,” “Hardhome,” “The Bells” and the epic Battle of Winterfell in “The Long Night,” is co-showrunner, executive producer and director of the pilot and other episodes of “Business firm of the Dragon.”
HBO released the first “Business firm of the Dragon” teaser trailer last autumn and appear the full ensemble of characters in March, forth with the premiere date for the show: Dominicus, August 21 on HBO and HBO Max. The show is the offset of several planned “GOT” spinoffs to see the low-cal of twenty-four hours.
